Murder trial defence disputes claim of motel ‘Russian roulette’
The chief witness for the prosecution in a Windsor murder trial agreed with a defence lawyer that having a drug dealer press a gun to your head and then pull the trigger is “a pretty significant” event, one that would be “forever etched in your mind.”
And yet, said lawyer Frank Retar, during six days of giving evidence at an earlier preliminary inquiry Jacob Reaume didn’t make a single mention of such a potentially deadly Russian roulette episode in a Windsor motel room on the night his girlfriend was killed in 2020.
